Al-Andalus,
as it was called in Moorish Spain, is the bewitching, legend-steeped region now known as Andalucia.
Before their expulsion, life in Spain was dominated by the Moors, and for 800 years their culture was predominant.
Al-Andalus was the perfect example of a multi-cultural society.
The Moors developed a very advanced civilisation embracing all walks of life: politics, science, handicrafts, agriculture etc. in which an amalgam of various cultures existed side-by-side, all sharing equal rights.

Those travelling through Andalucia with eyes-open,
will often find themselves confronted by the Moorish legacy:
from a simple, but efficient, irrigation system, to the famous "White Villages", to enchanting garden landscapes, to the breathtaking royal palace and present-day "World Heritage" site:
the unique Alhambra in Granada.
Discovering Andalucia is an intoxicating banquet for
the senses, to which its visitors readily succumb.
